Coenzyme Q10 And Its Possible Side Effects
In his ground-breaking bookThe Energy Equation first published in 1988 Patrick Holford, a true
disciple of Coenzyme Q10, asserts that “CO-Q is Safe and Effective”. This may well still be true
although much water has flowed under the bridge since 1988. Nevertheless, there have been some reports
of Coenzyme Q10 and its possible side effects although many may have been as a result of
inter-reaction with other food supplements, drugs, herbs or holistic remedies. As always, it is wise to consult
your own doctor or qualified medical practitioner before taking coq 10 or any other supplement or drug.
Some of the recurring complaints or comments about
coenzyme q10 refer to a loss of appetite, excessive bowel movement, acid reflux, heartburn, feelings of
nausea and general stomach ache.
Whilst none of these appear to be particularly
unpleasant they may well be the precursor of something unpleasant and, as always, caution should be the
watchword before reaping the benefits of the best coq10.
